Every year, I choose a watchword that guides how I show up and what I prioritise.

Last year, my word was PURPOSE.

I took time to hibernate.

To deeply understand my why:

“to amplify African voices wherever I show up”

This year’s watchword was VOICE.

It grew out of that purpose and a defining moment in my academic journey, when I experienced firsthand the frustration of losing one’s voice.

2025 has been a big year.

With most activities now complete, I’m taking a moment to publicly reflect on what I did to live out this word.

I hope this inspires someone.
