A familiar face is back. And we’re delighted.

After welcoming her first child, Sadie-Joan, Isabel Borok is back doing what she loves - helping clients navigate the often-complex world of insurance. And we’re delighted to have her back in the team.

Having worked with us for over 4 years there’s a number of clients she’s enjoying re-connecting with, and new ones too, across the North Island. She’s adeptly splitting her time between her home base in New Plymouth and our Auckland office.

It’s Isabel’s love of helping clients understand how to make their insurance work best for their needs that fuels her days.

“I especially love working with clients in the trades sector. They’re direct. They don’t always know what they should consider for their insurance needs, but they know they need the right cover, and that’s where I come in.”

Isabel didn’t originally plan to work in insurance. Having completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts she decided to take a gap year, with the intention of then training to be an art teacher. Fortunately for us, her gap year job was in insurance!

“I sort of fell into the sector. But I quickly discovered I didn’t just enjoy it, I was also good at it. It has been a win-win ever since.”

Ask her what her clients value most, and she'll tell you it's responsiveness.

"When a client needs insurance advice or support with a claim, they need help now. Right now. Responsiveness is everything. So, I always ensure I am there, right when they need me. It’s so important.”

Ensuring Isabel has everything she needs to successfully juggle motherhood and a career is important to us.

“In talking to other working mums I’m reminded why I love working at Penberthy. The team are incredibly supportive and empathetic. They provide flexibility and that means the world to me as I balance motherhood with my career and the clients that need me.”

If it makes Isabel feel great that we’re right there for her, we’re happy. And speaking of great and happy – that’s how we feel now she’s back in the fold.
