It’s easy to talk about supporting local when you’re buying a flat white, but what about when it comes to the backbone of your business? A global call center or an overseas virtual assistant might save you a dollar, but something valuable often gets lost in translation.

We believe in a Kiwi business supporting Kiwi businesses to build a stronger local economy.

We aren't a massive, faceless global agency. We are a dedicated team based right here in New Zealand. When you invest in us, that money stays right here with local families, local suppliers, and the very communities where your team is out drilling, building, and plumbing every single day.

More importantly, it means your local clients get to talk to real locals when they call your business. No language barriers, no disconnected scripts, and no dropped balls due to misunderstandings or a lack of local knowledge. Just good old-fashioned Kiwi service that reflects the hard work and reputation you’ve spent years building on the ground.

When we back each other, everyone wins. Let's keep the grunt work local, keep the standards high, and build businesses that make our communities thrive.

"Ah, it’s just a hundred bucks, I’ll let it slide."

We’ve all said it. But swallowing the cost of small extras, unforeseen materials, and overtime hours adds up faster than you think. Over the course of a year, that 'minor' scope creep could literally buy you a new trade van or fund your next family holiday down south.

Our pricing expert and experienced quantity surveyor, Hannah, says it’s time to stop the ostrich act. Ignorance is only bliss until the bills roll in! If you choose to let a cost slide for a client, that’s your call—but make sure you write it down. Keep careful track of every dollar spent outside the budget so you can make informed decisions about future quoting, and know exactly when it’s time to pass charges on.

Want to plug the leaks in your cash flow? We’ve broken down exactly how to spot and stop scope creep in our latest blog. Check the comments for the link.

Carrying the mental load of a business on your own is exhausting. From troubleshooting software to making sure everyone gets paid accurately every week, it's all on your plate.

If you hire a solo freelancer, you’re limited to what that one person knows. If they get stuck, you’re both stuck.
But when you partner with us, things work differently. When one of our clients faces a weird bottleneck, the whole team gets to work. 💪

You aren't just getting a single pair of hands; you’re getting a group chat full of local NZ trade admin specialists. If your dedicated admin manager hits a snag, they don't leave you hanging. They turn around and bounce it off the team. Between us, we’ve seen, solved, and sorted almost every back-office headache a Kiwi trade business can face.

You get the collective brainpower, systems knowledge, and problem-solving grit of an entire corporate operations team, for the price of a single assistant.

You’re in business for yourself, but you don't have to run it by yourself.

Looking back at our Pink Ribbon event this time last year, it’s amazing to see how far we’ve come. Our wonderful Lou Theobald is officially on a strong road to recovery, and having her here to share her story yesterday was a moment of real reflection for the whole Released whānau.

Lou was diagnosed back in November 2024. It was a curveball none of us saw coming. But yesterday, Lou said something that stuck with all of us: it was the people in her community that made all the difference.

From her football crew and family to her work whānau here at Released, having a team to lean on meant she didn't have to carry the weight alone. It’s a reminder that whether you’re facing a health journey or just trying to keep a business afloat, you’re never meant to do it all yourself.

A massive shoutout to Sarah and Kath for the incredible mahi in organising this year’s event. You poured your heart into this, and it showed.

We’re so proud of you, Lou. Your resilience is legendary, but we’re just glad we could be part of the "village" walking beside you.

Ladies, please don’t put yourselves at the bottom of the to-do list. Get checked. Do it for your whānau, and do it for yourself.

Every dollar helps fund life-saving research for the women we love. If you can, please chip in here: https://f.mtr.cool/zuwomprelq
