Pyramid Engineering is a contract manufacturing and precision engineering business based in Silverdale. We operate a state-of-the-art machine shop with the latest equipment. We work for a wide range of clients, in a wide range of industries.
We currently seeking a person to join our administration team on a one-year contract to provide maternity leave cover. Given our current growth, we believe a permanent role will become available.
Any level of experience considered. Full training given to the right applicant; however, you must have a willingness to learn, and be able to demonstrate the ability to do so.
The role Involves:
• Assisting with the maintenance of our quality manual.
• Assisting with our continuous improvement and internal auditing programmes.
• Data entry, job sheet processing.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments etc.
• Provide support to our CEO.
• Reception / Telephone cover when required.
You will:
• Have excellent written and spoken English.
• Have excellent attention to detail and be able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy.
• Be proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Have strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task.
• Be reliable and punctual.
• Be able to work autonomously, but in a team focused manner.

GENERAL HAND

We require a motivated person to join our team as a general laborer.

In this role you will:
· assist in with manufacturing of parts
· assist with preventative maintenance and servicing of equipment
· help keep the workshop and equipment clean

The ideal person will
· Have a great attitude – can do, friendly, approachable, flexible, a team player and motivated
· Be able to work independently, or as part of a team where required
· Be well organized and pay attention to detail
· Have a clean, current drivers license. Restricted is OK but you will be expected to get a full license as soon as practical
· Good spoken and written communication are essential.
· CNC Machine operating experience would be preferable.

Additional Requirements:
· This is a full time permanent position.
· Applicants must be able to work both on a morning shift or an evening shift on a rotational basis.
· Must be eligible to work in New Zealand

CNC Machinist Lathes and Mills

Pyramid Engineering is a contract manufacturing and precision engineering business based in Silverdale. We have a modern shop with the latest machine tools that is constantly growing.
We currently seeking experienced CNC Machinists for both our Lathes and Mills to join our team.
OVERVIEW:
The CNC Machinist role here at Pyramid Engineering is expected to have a comprehensive understanding of CNC machining, setting and programing operations. This role is tasked with working with the CNC Manager and team to increase productivity by optimizing machining programs and procedures.
Note: This is NOT an entry level job (no push button operators or parts loaders) candidates will be tested.
RESPONSABLITIES:
• Responsible for setting up, operating and programing a CNC Lathe and Milling Machines
(3 Axis & 5 Axis)
• Must be able to complete machining operations from drawings and/or verbal instructions
• Must have experience with complex, tight tolerance parts and various materials
• Make machine adjustments that may be required, check dimensions, etc to insure conformance to drawings
• Set up machines to precise tolerances and operate various types of machinery in production following established procedures
• Select proper tooling to preform required manufacturing operations.
• Machine precision fixtures, tooling and product from drawings, in accordance with established procedures, with limited supervision.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• At least 2 years of experience in set up, operation and programming of CNC machines
• Mazak experience is preferable
• Knowledgeable with Gibbs and Mazatrol
• Ability to read and work off of manufacturing drawings
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• This is for a permanent full-time role.
• This will be a night shift position as a start.
• Must be eligible to work in New Zealand and be able to start immediately.
