Oma Rāpeti - Freemans Bay

It’s apple harvesting time! We picked all the apples we could reach and learned how to use the peelers. We spent most of yesterday morning peeling the skins off the apples. One of our tamariki discovered he could create pictures using his peeler. He made a sad face and Mickey Mouse. Brenda our amazing cook stewed the apples with some spices. We had it for morning tea today with our quinoa and fruit. The feedback was positive “It’s so good I want to eat the whole bowl” one of the children said after trying it.
