Refined and quietly expressive, the Antipodes City Pouch is an elevated statement piece designed for evenings, events, and moments that call for simplicity with impact. Crafted from smooth vegan leather, its structured silhouette offers a modern, fashion-led take on functional design.
Finished with an elegant gold chain strap, it can be worn crossbody or over the shoulder, moving effortlessly from day to night. A matte metal magnetic clasp keeps the closure clean and understated, with my signature wings subtly embossed on the front — a detail you notice up close.
The rich moss colour-way brings a sense of depth and restraint, allowing texture, form, and detail to take the lead. Structured and protective by design, the City Pouch keeps essentials secure, offering space for your phone and must-haves without losing its shape. Minimal yet distinctive, this is a piece that speaks softly but confidently — where considered design meets effortless style, unmistakably Antipodes.
A MURAL FOR ALL
Last month I was given the incredible honour of creating a mural for a very special space here in Tāmaki Makaurau, the National Refugee Centre.
This piece has been designed as a welcome — a first visual moment intended to offer warmth, colour, and a sense of belonging to those arriving for the first time.
The composition draws on elements of Aotearoa — native flora and fauna, alongside subtle references to place — all woven together to create something uplifting, calm, and hopeful.
What made this experience particularly meaningful was the people I met along the way. Individuals from many walks of life, carrying stories of resilience and strength, who despite everything, met the world with warmth and openness. It was a powerful reminder of the role art can play — even without words — in creating connection.
A deeply personal aspect of this mural was the inclusion of three faces, inspired by artwork created by someone who had once moved through this same space. Carrying that thread forward felt important — a quiet acknowledgement of those who have come before, and a way of embedding their presence into the work.
Thank you to the team who entrusted me with this opportunity. It’s one I’ll carry with me for a long time.
