The ever‑delightful Justina, easily the best guide of the tour so far, brought Vilnius to life this morning with a fascinating walk through the old town. From an interactive video link connecting locals to cities around the world, to sculptures echoing Lithuania’s pagan past, every stop came with a story.
The group explored quirky artistic corners, a once‑bohemian “independent republic,” and the cathedral crypts before visiting Vilnius University’s gallery of lost languages.
This afternoon’s visit to the KGB Museum was a powerful reminder of Lithuania’s turbulent 20th‑century history, reflected even today in bold public messages condemning Putin.
On the way back, they paused to admire the striking white Baroque beauty of St Peter and St Paul’s Church; a serene finish to a full and thought‑provoking day.
