Ranch sliders are one of the most common entry points we see around Auckland — especially older ones with worn or basic locks.

One simple upgrade we recommend is installing a patio bolt.

Patio bolts add an extra layer of security by securing the door at the top or bottom, helping prevent the slider from being forced open from the outside. They’re a great option for:

DIY window handle fixes… we’ve seen it all 😅

From bits of string and makeshift catches… to handles held together with hope and old screws — we come across all sorts of creative DIY window “repairs” out on the road.

Sometimes the handles are:
