SOIFUA MANUIA Dance for Good Health "

In this workshop, we will explore foundational Siva Samoa movements while unpacking their cultural meanings โ€” how each gesture reflects our connection to land, ocean, sky, ancestry, and community. Participants will learn how the softness of the hands, the grounding of the feet, and the rhythm of the breath mirror the natural world and our relationship to it."

From the high mountains are the blessings of the villageโ€

๐ŸŒบ We are deeply honoured and incredibly excited to have award-winning artist, curator, and cultural practitioner Rosanna Raymond for Mamalu โ€“ A Lineage Embodied.

๐ŸŒบ A pioneering artist, storyteller, curator, and founding member of the Pacific Sisters, Rosannaโ€™s practice has profoundly shaped contemporary Pacific and Indigenous art both within Aotearoa and internationally. Her work continues to challenge and expand conversations around embodiment, ancestral knowledge, cultural sovereignty, and the vฤ โ€” the relational spaces that connect us.

๐Ÿ“… Friday 5th June
โฐ4.30pm โ€“ 6.30pm
๐Ÿ“ Te Oro - 98 Line road, Glen Innes

๐ŸŒบ Through projects such as SaVAge Kโ€™lub and decades of collaborative cultural work, Rosanna has created powerful spaces for Pacific storytelling, performance, adornment, and Indigenous knowledge systems to be seen, activated, and celebrated.

This workshop centres the malu as a living archive of identity, genealogy, and Indigenous knowledge โ€” inviting reflection through discussion, writing, drawing, and embodied practice.
