Two of our security officers on site at Tauranga Crossing - Duncan and Sunny (Paramvir) have just taken on expanded roles as Duty Managers at the centre across Saturdays and Sundays.

Both have been part of the Tauranga Crossing team for a while now. Duncan five years with Allied Security and Sunny just over a year and a half.

They have spent that time building a strong reputation across the centre.

The retailers know them by name. The wider team leans on them when it matters. And the customers who walk through the doors week after week recognise them as part of what makes the centre run the way it does.

The weekends are some of the busiest days of the week at any major retail destination, and the Duty Manager role carries real responsibility across both.

A great move for the Tauranga Crossing team and a well deserved opportunity for Duncan and Sunny! Well done.

Our Rio Tinto Contract Manager Grant Gutschlag and Health & Wellness Manager Dave Cheyne headed over to Vancouver to complete some valuable training in their roles.

While in Vancouver they both took the chance to spend time with our Canadian management Ashley Meehan and Alliance Security team on the ground at the Cloverdale Rodeo, one of the biggest events on the British Columbia calendar.

A great opportunity to see how the Canadian division operates an event of that scale, learn more about the services delivered across the border and bring back useful initiatives for the NZ operation.

Plenty for both Grant and Dave to take away from the trip and a great example of the value of cross border collaboration within the wider Allied Security network!
