We are redefining interiors by ‘creating atmospheres” that people love to live, work, shop, eat and play in.

There are floors that cover a space, and there are floors that define it. Oscar Ono is a collection designed by Raphael Navot that draws from the material heritage of 19th-century Paris and brings it into the present with exceptional craft.

End grain oak is cut perpendicular to the tree's growth rings rather than along them, giving the pattern that defines the collection. The result is artwork as much as it is flooring.

Design Spotlight: Crown Range View by &

'Reflecting the surrounding high-country landscape and history of the area, a classic, schist-clad lodge was designed with dual gable pavilions and a linkway. The exterior stonework creates a sense of solidity and harks back to the humble gold-mining cottages that were dotted throughout the valley in the past.

The gable roofs provide high ceiling spaces to the living area, creating a sense of spaciousness and light accentuated by generous glazing. A sheltered courtyard is nestled between the two pavilions, with operable louvres allowing the outdoor space to be conveniently adjusted to suit all times of day and weather conditions."

Last week, VidaSpace had the honour of hosting the Auckland launch of Cape to Bluff Vol. 2 and the privilege of standing as its lead sponsor.

The second volume in Simon Devitt and Andrea Stevens' celebrated series, the book traverses Aotearoa from north to south, bringing together thirty exceptional homes that respond to the New Zealand landscape in both poetic and pragmatic ways. From alpine to coast, rural to city, it's a publication that takes this country's residential architecture seriously, and documents it with the care it deserves.

The evening itself was something special. Our showroom filled with architects, designers, makers, collaborators, and the friends and family behind the book, all gathered to celebrate a publication that felt genuinely meaningful to everyone in the room. Hearing Simon and Andrea speak to the vision behind the work was a highlight, and the energy throughout the night reflected just how much this project means to the people who made it.
