Kudos to all remarkable mothers, step-mothers, fur baby mothers, foster mothers, mothers-in-law, working mothers, soon-to-be mothers, and every resilient maternal figure out there!
You’re amazing. Thank you.

Happy International Women’s Day. Treat yourself with kindness. Be the woman you were born to be. ❤️

I’ve been out and about in the last couple of weeks and one of the things that I’ve noticed is an air of frantic energy. I’ve seen two accidents in the same spot, and there has been an increase in vehicles tooting at each other out of frustration.
Please, just take a breath, relax, nothing is so important that we can’t treat each other with kindness and respect. I’ve been stopping to let cars in and out of driveways and parks, it only takes a minute, but it may make a difference to someone else’s stress levels.
So if I can ask a favour, be kind, be mindful, be patient, you’ll feel the benefit, I promise.
Look after yourself
Sue ❤️

There are days when we just need to be reminded that there are better things to come. Believe in yourself, you’ve got this.

It’s spring here in New Zealand, which has always been my favourite season.
We’ve had a lot on our plate for the last few months, so I haven’t been around as much, but today I took the opportunity to stop, ground myself and actually notice all of the beauty around me and natures blessing of new growth.
I realised I hadn’t been seeing the little things for a while and I’d missed all of the abundance of it all. So today I’m thankful. Thankful for the sunshine, the bees on the lavender, the flowers, the fruit, the life that keeps going and giving.
What are you thankful for today? I hope it’s truly wonderful.
Sue ♥️

This poem was recently shared with me, I’m sorry I don’t know who the author is, but the sentiment is pure gold. Maybe it’s time to stop and smell the dandelions.
When I look at a patch of dandelions, I see a bunch of weeds that are going to take over my yard, my kids see flowers for Mom and blowing white fluff you can wish on.
When I look at an old drunk and he smiles at me. I see a dirty, smelly person who probably wants money, and I look away. My kids see someone smiling at them, and they smile back.
When I hear music I love, I know I can’t carry a tune and don’t have much rhythm, so I sit self-consciously and listen. My kids feel the beat and move to it. They sing out the words & if they don’t know them, they make up their own.
When I feel wind on my face, I brace myself against it. I feel it messing up my hair and pulling me back when I walk. My kids close their eyes, spread their arms and fly with it, until they fall to the ground laughing.
When I see a mud puddle, I step around it. I see muddy shoes and dirty carpets. My kids sit in it. They see dams to build, rivers to cross and worms to play with.
I wonder if we are given kids to teach or to learn from? No wonder God loves the little children. "Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.”
I wish you mud puddles and dandelions!!
Peace and love and a world as children see it.

I’ve been doing some clearing out and donating and this is a snap shot of my brain today….
I’ll just tidy up this cd shelf (yes that’s how old I am), geez it’s a bit dusty, better dust….. ooh, what’s this old photo cd? Better have a look…. Oh, I need to save these on to my desktop…. I should send these to my friends and family…… four hours later cd’s still a mess, still dusty, but photos saved and shared…. Productive outcome? I’m still deciding. 😂
But just for a laugh, here’s a very old photo of me that I found… 🤷🏼♀️
