Not gonna lie....Mothers Day is a hard one.

Some of us are without our children in our lives. Tragedy, parental alienation, distance, choices.

But we can mother ourselves and our community 💜

As I wandered around the deliciousness of the Hawkes Bay Farmers Market this morning, filling my belly with the delicious local products, the stand out was Holly Bacon New Zealand.

Dry cured 🥓 The rind crisps up, the eye is meaty.

Real, old fashioned, bacon with flavour.

If I am saying this, its true! I dont accept any payment etc to promote a local business. If I endorse a product, its because it's brilliant.

This bacon deserves a few organic eggs, some hot, buttered vogels toast w vegemite.
