A dozen Te Kura Tapuhi - School of Nursing - Otago Polytechnic students across the first, second, and third years gathered for a social Blokes Lunch as part of Men's Health Week this week 👋
Third year Nursing student Jury Zaal says the Blokes Lunch was an opportunity to get all the males from the course together, talking to each other, sharing experiences, and giving some guidance to their younger peers 🤝
Fellow third year Nursing student Keegan Hall says that support network of “men supporting men” was valuable for him starting out.
“There's a lot of areas in healthcare in general where we need more male staff, and it's important that we look after each other and support each other because we need to be in these environments,” he says.

Congratulations to ākonga Hudson Ross who was named 2026 New Zealand Student Winner at the 40th Dulux New Zealand Colour Awards in Sydney this week! 🏆🇦🇺
The Master of Architecture (Professional) student was praised for his expansive project hot&cold, which envisaged a four-day regenerative walking trail across Otago Peninsula.
It was a double celebration for OP, with fellow School of Architecture student Ryno Von Wielligh named as runner-up in the category for his project, The Lighthouse Entertainment Precinct 🙌
