Pregnancy doesn’t have to mean putting movement on hold. More often than not, pregnancy offers the opportunity to learn how to listen, adapt, and work with your changing body.
There is so much you can continue to do throughout pregnancy, and staying active can help reduce aches and pains, support your mental wellbeing, build confidence in your body, and prepare you for the very real physical demands of birth and motherhood.
One of the biggest misconceptions I see is that exercise becomes unsafe the moment you’re pregnant. In reality, many movements simply need thoughtful modifications rather than complete avoidance.
Pregnancy can also be an incredible opportunity to deepen your connection to your body. To slow down, tune in, learn what feels good, and build trust in your intuition.
Movement doesn’t have to stop, it can evolve with you.
If you’re pregnant and attending classes with us, know that we’re here to help you modify where needed, answer questions, and support you every step of the way. We often receive notes from our client’s physiotherapists too, to ensure we’re all on the same page. 🙏
In part two, we discuss swaps you can do instead of laying on your belly, as well as ways to adapt exercises if you experience any pelvic pain, or p***c symphasis discomfort.
