This weekend I was awarded the Young Business and Professional Women Sustainability Award nominated by President of BPW New Zealand Janet Gibb 🏆
"Alice has truly stood out in the Young BPW space – not only doing work with Young BPWs, but Alice has shown enthusiasm, talent, energy and leadership skills across a variety of tasks, projects and positions over the past 12 months with BPW NZ.
As the young BPW member on the national executive, Alice brought an input to our thinking and decision making that was fresh and focused with a different lens. This enables the executive to create new opportunities and marketing goals encouraging increased membership and attendance at meetings.
Alice gave valuable assistance to the VP Membership with the Membership Taskforce – and the Aotearoa Individual Members’ meetings, where she also for several months chaired this group and created fun input and skills training to attendees.
The 2025 Conference Day Two was a huge success as Alice led the program, which was built around inspiration and leadership skills. She empowered others to network by inviting speakers from her contacts and being the EMCEE for the day, providing energy that was contagious.
Social Media via Facebook and Linkedin has had a massive influence on awareness of BPW NZ – this has been due to Alice’s influences along with her encouraging other executive to post items and coaching when and how often to do this.
As an organisation we have for many years had set processes and programs. It is always difficult to find new ways of thinking when you can become entrenched in how it was always done! Alice has been a breath of fresh air bringing new thinking and giving us a boost of confidence to try different things for different audiences."
Relay for Life Gisborne done again for another year. Raising over $75,000 dollars to support those affected by cancer in our region.
So proud to be apart of the organising committee and see all the work come together on the day AND yes the tiredness was setting in when this video was taken 😂
Being onsite for over 24 hours rain and shine is really symbolic of the ups and downs of a cancer journey and I was privileged this year to help lead the candle lighting ceremony, placing a flower for all of those that have lost parents or grandparents.
After 2 years, this one felt like it was for you dad.
