🌟✨ Our tamariki have been busy preparing for Matariki through creativity, exploration, and connection! ✨🌟

Children created beautiful Matariki-inspired artwork, designed star wands, and built stars using natural materials while learning about the significance of this special celebration. They also enjoyed sharing family photos and stories, helping to strengthen their sense of belonging and connection to whānau. Outdoor learning included colourful cornflour sensory play and imaginative cooking experiences, where children explored, created, and worked together. We are looking forward to celebrating Matariki together very soon! ⭐💫🌿

🌊🐠 Ocean Week was full of splashes, creativity, and underwater adventures! 🐙💙
Our toddlers explored sea creatures through messy ocean sensory play, created colourful jellyfish and crabs, and discovered the wonders of the ocean through art and hands-on exploration. We had so much fun making waves, getting creative, and learning together! 🦈🐢✨

This week, our tamariki at Pohutukawa room celebrated Samoan Language Week through a variety of fun and creative experiences. Children explored Samoan culture through artwork, playdough, flower painting, face painting, learning simple Samoan words and phrases, and an exciting ocean-themed sensory play area.
It has been wonderful to see tamariki learning about and appreciating the language, culture, and traditions of Samoa through play and creativity.

This winter, our Active Explorers Glenfield Rimu have continuously participated in the PJ project to support tamariki and whānau in need with brand-new PJs. Our centre is an official pyjama drop-off point until 12th June. Feel free to pop in and bring brand-new PJs, or make a donation on-site or online.
