Hamilton Rowing Club
Vision: to consistently develop crews of the highest standard, and be worthy competitors.
Congratulations to Jane Manson on being recognised in the King's Birthday Honours for her Services to the Community.
Jane has been a tireless contributor to our community for many years. With all of her children coming through Hillcrest High School, she was an active member of the Hillcrest High School Rowing Committee from the early 2000s through to 2014.
Jane was also one of the founding members of the Tamahere Country Market, established to raise funds for the replacement of the roof at St Stephen’s Church. What began as a local fundraising initiative has grown into one of the region’s most successful community markets and has been a regular feature of the Waikato community since 2004. Jane remains actively involved in its ongoing success today.
Many in the rowing community will also know Jane from her countless hours volunteering in the Finish Tower at Lake Karāpiro, supporting regattas and helping deliver successful events for athletes from across New Zealand.
Jane's commitment to community service, volunteerism, and supporting others has left a lasting impact on countless people and organisations.
A very well-deserved honour.
Congratulations Jane, and thank you for your outstanding service to our community.
