Playdough seems like such a basic way to entertain young children. But hidden in the fun there are so many benefits!

Not only does playdough play ignite the imagination, it also helps to regulate emotions and fosters social skills through sharing and collaboration.

Playdough play introduces early maths and science concepts, and can enhance vocabulary if you discuss your actions while you play.

The squeezing, rolling and flattening of dough builds finger and hand muscles, which in turn helps with developing writing skills and other fine motor skills like using scissors.

We’d love you to bring your little one along on Wednesday from 10am for some music and movement, morning tea, and playdough fun 😊

We have another bee-themed craft lined up for this week! Your tamariki can make their own cute wee honeycomb painting with bee stickers 🐝

Join us on Wednesday from 10am for music and movement, followed by morning tea, crafting and free play.

It’s almost Mother’s Day 🤗

On Wednesday our tamariki will have the chance to make a gorgeous Mother’s Day card 💖 We may not manage to keep it a surprise until Sunday, but it will be a cute wee keepsake nevertheless! 😆
