Automatic gate options. The easiest and cheapest is a sliding gate as long as you have sufficient level ground for the open position. Next up are double swing gates. These are a fairly cost effective option but again there needs to be enough clearance of vehicles parked in the driveway. The third option is a cantilever gate - ideal for driveways that slope across the width or the gate opens over uneven or an unsealed driveway. When space is limited there are mechanisms that stack the leaves of the gates so less room is required in the open position. None of this is cheap so you need to think of having a minimum budget of $8000 before considering automatic gates.
