Hawkes Bay Rugby welcomes all community rugby participants to the Magpies first home game of 2026 where they take on the Tasman Mako at McLean Park on Saturday 8th August at 7:10pm.

• CLUB DEAL – FREE ENTRY FOR KIDS thanks to Furnware, club rugby playing kids will be provided free general admission entry to the ground and Centennial stand. Cap off the club season with a day out at the footy. Adult tickets are just $10 (excl ticket fees) for the same general admission access.

• CLUB PARADE – HBRU will be holding a parade so make sure you dress in your club colours and all kids will be able to participate in an on-field acknowledgement at half time with your fellow club members. We will be gathering all participants at the Centennial Stand end of the ground prior to the end of the first half for this.


For anyone wanting to level up the experience HBRU have a range of hospitality options, in particular the BIG BOX is back for this game fully inclusive of drinks, food, lounge and stand access from an hour before kick off until the final whistle for just $120.
