The CLS team hosted a successful quiz out at Sprig + Fern Mapua last Wednesday to fundraise for our friends at Fossil Creek Farm Trust.

A huge thanks to all the quiz participants for buying every single raffle ticket which enabled us to achieve a record amount raised! We raised an incredible $1,100 from the prizes donated by CLS staff and several wonderful businesses including Guthrie Bowron (Richmond), The Flower Farm, Penny Lane Perennials, Fee Topia Reflexology and ANZ Bank.

The funds raised will help Fossil Creek Farm continue to provide subsidised therapy sessions and to help with their animal feed bill given the ongoing drought.

The importance of these sponsored sessions are to help those who need it get access to immediate help, and it is a cause that we as a firm are extremely honoured to support.

There's a new rulebook in place for incorporated societies, which will affect every one of the 24,000 clubs and societies throughout New Zealand.

Change can be daunting, especially for busy volunteers. However, this new Incorporated Societies Act brings real opportunity for clarity and member engagement, and to modernise the way these organisations are run. Action is required though — and we're here to help.

A family affair for Christmas 🎄

We decided to go back to basics this year for the very first Client Legal Solutions’ staff Christmas function!

Gerard, one of our directors, kindly opened his fabulous home to us all complete with marque, outside bar and games galore for the little people! It was really nice for a change not going out to a function centre or restaurant as the layout of Gerard’s place made it feel like a big family was coming together for an informal barbecue in the backyard. The family just happened to be the Client Legal Solutions brood! The weather was in our favour as was the incredible food supplied by Kudos Catering. You can’t beat the success of a great Christmas staff function for boosting staff morale and our one was certainly up there!
