Riverside Hostel is an eco-friendly space in the middle of New Zealand's oldest intentional community and offers affordable accommodation throughout the year for travelers of all ages.

Close to Abel Tasman and Kahurangi National Parks, the hostel is a quiet, alcohol and smoke free*, backpackers in Riverside's village-like setting with Tasman's Great Taste Cycle Trail and many beautiful beaches, valleys and rivers nearby.

Riverside Community itself is a gem to explore and discover. Plenty of short walks, an art gallery, bonsai collection, a rich historic background and volunteering opportunities may well invite you to stay a little longer than initially planned (that happens all the time here).

If you are after a relaxing welllness break, there is the possibilty to participate in yoga, tai-chi and other recreational classes which are offered weekly in the neighbouring Riverside Cultural Centre.
