☕ I will never get tired of saying, "Numbers tell a story."

A lot of people think bookkeeping is about coding transactions, reconciling bank accounts, and filing GST returns.

Those things are important.

But what interests me most is what happens after that.

- Why is cashflow feeling tight?

- Why has profit changed?

- Is the business growing?

- Can we afford to hire?

- Are we spending time on the right things?

The numbers often answer those questions long before anyone realises there is a problem or an opportunity.

Most business owners don't need more reports.

They need someone to help them understand what the reports are saying.

That's the part of my job I enjoy most.
