I'm thrilled to be in New Zealand while their National Yearling sales are on!

As you would expect, there are a lot of very nice young horses from some of the greatest families in the Studbook, all immaculately turned out.

New Zealand has a well earned reputation as one of the worlds premier producers of high class race horses and it's really easy to see why.

On the whole, the yearlings are well grown with great scope and plenty of bone.

The quality of bloodstock is perfectly matched by the world class sales complex that New Zealand Bloodstock has spared no expense in developing from the ground up and it's not by accident that this sale always has an incredibly strong international buying bench.

Bunbury bound again today.

"Bully" has trained on well since his debut effort 12 days ago over the same course and distance.

Hopefully he can get into stride quick enough to take advantage of barrier 2 because there doesn't look to be a lot of pace in today's race.

Shaun O'Donnell is on board today and he knows the horse well, having been on for both of Bully's trials.

There are a couple of horses in our race that are in good form but with a bit of luck in running and natural improvement from the first up effort, I'm expecting Bully to be pretty competitive today.
