AUT Offgrid Presents: O-Week Trip #1 Omanawanui!

We are heading back to the wonderful Waitakere Ranges to complete an epic coastal walk near Huia. We will start at the Omanawanui carpark and complete an out-and-back track passing over the top of Omanawanui, with 360-degree views. The track is moderately challenging and is well-maintained. It is a steep track with lots of stairs so keep this and your own fitness level in mind and let us know if you have any concerns. Length: 7.7km, Elevation gain: 347m.

Kia Ora OffGrid Whānau! on Friday 19th September - Saturday 20th September we’ll be taking on Duke’s nose / Lane Cove Hut! The hut is located in an idyllic landscape only a few steps from the water. The area has spectacular rock formations and fine regenerating coastal forest. The hut provides an excellent base for exploring the Whangaroa area. You can enjoy a refreshing swim as it is just a few steps away from the hut or simply relax on the deck. This hut accommodates 16 people so sign up now as it is a “first come first serve”!
