Recycled Rimu

Something new and a little different. Using an old sheep-sharing comb, I've covered it with Rimu and created a Haehae (combing device) for splitting Harakeke (flax) for weaving. This allows the weaver to split the flax evenly and create strands of even width.

I need to fine tune these a bit more but I'm very happy with this initial effort.

Knocking out a few spatulas today. Cut and shaped these over previous days, now on the final sanding stage (by hand). Should make great Xmas gifts.
