Performance - Leadership - Team Building. Forging high performance, highly capable teams and individuals.

Our work is built on challenge, providing a platform where others may test themselves so they may forge resilience, sharpen their skills, and carry those lessons into all aspects of life. But to lead others through struggle, we as instructors must practice what we profess. The blade dulls without use; the mind softens without adversity. And so, we must constantly sharpen the sword.

This weekend, I return to a sport that has shaped a large part of my life. It has been ten years since I last stood on a start line. I once raced to compete, to measure myself against others. I now race for a different purpose. To simply submit to the challenge itself, to embrace hardship as a means of clarity, to process grief through struggle, to connect with what has been lost and to leave as a better man.

2 years ago, my brother lost a battle with the black wolf, he found himself in a hole that he could not climb out of. I want to spend the day connecting with him in my own battle with adversity.

I'm injured and not particularly fit for the event, but I look forward to presenting myself with a challenge that I'm not ready for and finding a way out.

Life has a way of forging us in fire. The more I do this work, the more I see the burdens people carry, the unseen battles and the quiet struggles. Often, the finish line cannot be seen, but the next step always can.

I will hold the line where you fell. I will bear your memory not as a burden but as a banner and I will continue the legacy.

Are you living each day with purpose?

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, a revered American poet, wrote “A Psalm of Life” to inspire and motivate individuals to live life with determination and intent. His words resonate deeply with those striving to make the most of their lives.

Longfellow’s message encourages men to embrace their potential and act with intention. It’s about living in the present, making meaningful choices, and leaving a lasting impact on the world around us.

In today’s fast-paced world, we can apply these lessons by focusing on purposeful actions, staying present, and pursuing our goals with passion and perseverance. Whether you’re tackling daily challenges or embarking on our high performance expeditions, Longfellow’s words remind us to strive for greatness.

Reflect on Longfellow’s teachings and let them guide your journey. Live with purpose, act with intention, and make every moment count.
