Since we at TEAATE are crazy about Japan and games, we want to look at the origin of Japan’s most notorious video-game company. Nintendo was founded in 1889 as a Hanafuda card producer before branching into videos games in the 70s with Donkey Kong and Jump Man’s debuts in 1981.
Can you name the first manga? Chōjū-jinbutsugiga (Scrolls of Frolicking Animals) are 12th century scrolls show Japan’s earliest sequential story. Studio Ghibli made the scrolls into a short film!
