This Rāmere (Fri) we are excited to welcome Kirikiriroa-based duo as part of their EP release tour for their debut EP, Tether. Released by .nz it captures that first rush of creative momentum between a pair, a beautiful blend of intertwined harmonies, finger-picked guitar and a harmonium.
They will be joined by Pyramid Club’s own , who is a multimedia composer, producer and audio engineer. His captivating live performances search for sublime states, led by melody through lush, full-spectrum soundscapes of synths, samples and voice.

CHRIS PROSSER (solo) + O’RORKE / LATHAM / WRIGHT
Chris Prosser performs new material for solo violin and voice.
Born in England, Chris Prosser is a violinist-composer who writes music primarily to perform and record himself. Chris came to New Zealand at age 9. He started learning the violin and became head chorister at Southwell School, Hamilton. He moved to Christchurch, before composing Sonatina for Violin, Flute, Cello which won the 1972 Bank of New South Wales Chamber Music Competition. Based in London during the 1990s, Chris won a British Council award, recorded for VPRO Radio Netherlands, performed free improvisation with London Musicians Collective and at traditional music festivals around Britain with roots/rock band, The Eclectics, and earned a living busking the Underground.

Tomorrow night we are very excited to welcome Hoofschool and Dream Chambers back to Pyramid Club for Hoofschool’s album release party for his new album released earlier this month, ‘Where is Home?’
Hoofschool is the project of (Meeps, Orchestra of Spheres) exploring colourful and disorientating electronic music.
Joined by who is a performing artist, composer for film tv and recent recipient of the Springboard Award. She blends electronic and organic sound worlds of modular synth and voice to create dramatic and experimental compositional structures.
