Maintenance Myths
There is a lot of bad advice out there! Here are the facts to help your Inferno fire last a lifetime.

Myth 1: "You should use a water blaster to clean it."🔴
🟢The Truth: Never! High-pressure water can damage your concrete fireplace. A simple garden hose and a soft brush are all you need to keep it looking new.

Myth 2: "Cracks mean the fireplace is broken."🔴
🟢The Truth: Small "hairline" cracks are normal. Concrete expands and shrinks as it heats up and cools down. These tiny lines don't affect the strength of your fire at all.

Myth 3: "Any wood is good wood."🔴
🟢The Truth: Burning "green" (wet) wood or treated timber creates black, sticky soot that is a nightmare to clean. Always use dry, seasoned wood for a clean burn and a clear chimney.

Myth 4: "You need to scrub the firebricks inside."🔴
🟢The Truth: Let them be! The firebricks are designed to get hot and stay hot. A bit of soot on the inside is natural and actually helps the fire radiate heat better.

The Best Tip?
Give your fireplace a quick "soft wash" once a year and scoop out the cold ash regularly. It’s that easy.
