A big thank you to Banks and his whānau for the generous treat for everyone at kindergarten. We all had such a fun day, amazing face paintings for the tamariki and delicious fish and chips for lunch.
Your kindness and support made the day extra special for everyone. We really value the contribution our whānau make to our kindergarten community. Working together helps create happy memories and strengthens the sense of belonging and connection for all of our tamariki.
Thank you Sinead and Casey for being such an important part of our kindergarten whānau.

During our puff paint artwork experience, tamariki enjoyed exploring their creativity while engaging positively with their peers. They shared ideas, resources, and conversations, supporting one another as they created their unique artworks. These moments of collaboration helped strengthen relationships, build confidence, and create a sense of belonging within our learning environment.
This learning connects with Te Whāriki – Mana Tangata | Contribution: “Children experience an environment where they are encouraged to learn with and alongside others.” Through shared creative experiences, tamariki are developing social skills, cooperation, and the confidence to contribute their ideas and strengths to the group.

YOGA, MUSIC AND MOVEMENT TOGETHER
This week, we had lots of fun exploring different ways to move our bodies. When Atlanta, Mia, Oakleigh, and Ella P. spotted the yoga mats, they were excited to bring them out. We played some music and started trying different yoga poses and movements together.
It was great to see so many tamariki sharing their own ideas. Each child had a turn suggesting a pose or exercise for everyone to copy. We practised push-ups, meditation, stretches, splits, balancing poses, and even some fun tricks. Before long, more tamariki noticed what was happening and happily joined in.
This experience showed how confident the children are at sharing their ideas, taking turns, and encouraging one another. They worked together, listened to each other's suggestions, and enjoyed being active as a group.
Through this experience, the children were developing the confidence to express themselves, make choices, and contribute to group activities (Mana Tangata | Contribution). They were strengthening their physical skills, coordination, balance, and body awareness while learning ways to support their health and wellbeing (Mana Atua | Wellbeing). Music and movement also gave them opportunities to build friendships, cooperate with others, and enjoy being active together.
