Golden time

Basic strategy considers the player’s hand versus the dealer’s upcard. It indicates the statistically optimal play for each scenario to improve your chances of winning. For example, basic strategy says you should always split a pair of 8s, but never split 5s or 10s. It also indicates when you should double down, hit, stand, or take insurance based on your hand total.
