The Power Of Sun Disinfection "UVD-Robot"

Traditional ways of disinfection
A few years ago, we thought it only needed direct contact for diseases to spread; however, the past couple of years and the pandemic have shown us that all it takes is the air around us to transmit some viruses and bacteria.
Bacteria, viruses, and micro germs surround us all the time, making us vulnerable to multiple diseases.
Our traditional ways of disinfection used to be chemical, spraying some chemicals and cleaning everything manually.

UV light (Ultraviolet Spectrum):
Ultraviolet light occupies a very narrow range of the electromagnetic spectrum and even breaks down into wavelengths shorter than visible light.
• UV-A: Longwave (315 – 400 nm) UV is the least harmful but can contribute to skin ageing and DNA damage. UV-A lamps are used for curing inks, adhesives and coatings.
• UV-B: Mid-wave (280 – 315 nm) UV is more dangerous and is responsible for burning the skin. UV-B lamps are also used for curing inks, precisely clear coatings and thin ink layers.
• UV-C: Shortwave (100 – 280 nm) UV is the most harmful and is used for water and air disinfection as it can render microorganisms harmless.
• V: (400 – 700 nm) Visible light from violet – the shortest wavelength we can see with our eyes – up to red, the longest visible wavelength before infrared.

UV disinfection (also known as ultraviolet germicidal irradiation) is a chemical-free disinfection method that uses short-wavelength ultraviolet (UV-C) light to disactivate microorganisms by disrupting their DNA, leaving them unable to perform vital cellular functions such as reproduction. At the 254 nm wavelength, UV light can pe*****te the cell wall of a microorganism, permanently altering the DNA structure within seconds and leaving no chemical by-products as a result.

UVD-Robot:
Comparing UV-C disinfection to the traditional chemical way shows UV-C’s advantages and safety. Despite all the benefits of using UV-C, it is still harmful to humans, which is the problem with manually operating a UV-C device. That’s why we are proposing UVD-Robot, a fully autonomous robot that can create a map and locate itself and proceed with the disinfection procedure all on its own without any human involvement except for the initial setup.
Summary:
This article provides an overview of the disinfection methods and the advantages of UV-C over the chemical method. AITECHOM company offers the solution of using the disinfection robot “UVD Robot”, a fully autonomous robot that can disinfect a standard 270 sq ft patient room in less than 8 minutes, with 100% safety for humans with five levels of protection.
