ECE Oman is proud to be involved in design, fabrication and installation of a 70-meter diameter steel structure canopy using Architecture Exposed Steet Structures (AESS). This project is the largest canopy constructed in the Sultanate of Oman. The canopy spreads over 3,850 square meters area (41,440 sqft) constructed using two steel layers and a height of 15 m with a free cantilever reaching 9 m to provide sunlight shading on every corner. The canopy features different colored Polycarbonate sheets that reflect the culture of Oman in addition to walkways and fall arrest system for regular cleaning and maintenance.
ECE engineering team started working on the project from early design phase to provide value engineering which resulted in savings in time and cost without affecting client requirements and in accordance with international standards and codes. ECE is proud to announce that we had Zero incident across all phases of the project.
