These portraits were taken 5 years ago.
Back then, I edited everything in a very different way… my “safe style.”
But today, I decided to revisit them and try something new.
Different tones, different feeling… stepping out of my comfort zone.
I guess sometimes, growth is just looking back… and choosing to see things differently.

Two days. One shot.
We left Cusco and drove 4 hours into the mountains.
Arrived late, slept just 3 hours… then started hiking at 3AM.
The altitude hit hard with almost no acclimatization.
But we kept going. Step by step.
And then… we made it.
This light.
This silence.
This moment made everything worth it.
We shot all afternoon, pushed limits, then drove back to Cusco.
This is what real photo journeys feel like.

🚴‍♂️✨ I recently had the chance to photograph a professional biker who absolutely loves biking in the mountains! It was fascinating to watch him navigate the rugged terrain and hear about his passion for exploring these breathtaking landscapes.
As he rode down from Lares Pass at 4470 masl into the Sacred Valley of the Incas, I was captivated by the stunning views and vibrant native flora and fauna surrounding us.

“2017 marked the start of my journey as a multi-day hiking guide, with no real interest in photography. But something was missing. After setting up camp each day, I found myself drawn to sunset walks, captivated by the beauty around me. Eventually, I wanted to honor these moments by capturing them. 🌄🏔️

Starting out, I had no clue about composition, color theory, or even proper gear—I just followed my heart and let inspiration lead the way. I’d snap photos of what felt right, learning through trial and error. Every shot was a chance to explore the world from a new angle, driven by the need to share the magic I saw. 📸✨
