🥾 Inca Trail Photo Dump ⛰️✨
And two months later… our Inca Trail vlog is FINALLY live on YouTube 🎥
To be honest, this one took way longer to finish than expected between getting sick, constant travel chaos, and just life 😅 But looking back at these photos 2 months later, it feels surreal that it actually happened.
We chose the SHORT Inca Trail (1 overnight) instead of the classic 4-day trek. I think it’s the perfect middle ground for people who want the experience with less of a challenge.
Don’t get me wrong—it was STILL challenging. But it’s definitely a more approachable option for those who want the journey without sacrificing the incredible scenery, hiking, and arrival to Machu Picchu 🤍
If you’ve been curious what the guided short Inca Trail experience is actually like, comment “SHORT” and I’ll send you the link to our full vlog! 🎒🇵🇪

🏛️ Comment “POMPEII” and we’ll send you the exact skip-the-line ticket + audio guide we used 🎧✨
Pompeii is one of those bucket list places that somehow STILL exceeds the hype. It wasn’t what we expected at all… it was so much better.
We did a few unconventional things during our visit, and after seeing how our day turned out, we genuinely wouldn’t change a thing. If we ever go back, we’ll do Pompeii the exact same way 👏 The little choices made SUCH a difference.
So if Pompeii is on your bucket list too, 🇮🇹🌋 steal our tips, save this for later, and let us know what’s at the TOP of your Italy bucket list ⬇️
📍Burano, Venice, Italy 🇮🇹🌈
If you’re visiting Venice, THIS little island needs to be on your bucket list ✨
Burano started as an old fishing village, and the brightly colored houses were traditionally painted that way so fishermen could find their homes through the thick lagoon fog 🌫️🎣
Now the rainbow-colored streets have become part of the island’s identity and it feels like a storybook 💛💙❤️
HOW TO GET THERE
➡️ Take the #12 Vaporetto from Venice
💳 Tap-to-pay is the easiest option — just tap your contactless card when boarding
💶 About €9.50 one-way
⏰ Around a 40-minute ride
And then… spend the day wandering a magical rainbow city floating on the water 🌈✨
Have you ever visited Burano? Or its glass-blowing sister island, Murano? 👀 Let us know below ⬇️
I mean, it was REALLY good licorice though 😅🤷🏼♀️💸

Italy photo dump! 🇮🇹
Narrowing nearly 3 weeks and 4 regions into 20 photos was hard 😅 but if you want a less curated look into the beginning of euro-summer, here it is 🥰
1. The colorful buildings of Burano, Venice
2. The Spanish Steps with my (Cat’s) parents at 7am! (found out after shooting this that you can be fined for sitting on the Spanish steps, lol)
3. Trevi Fountain, Rome
4. My father’s expression upon walking into St. Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican
5. Colosseum tour!
6. Picnic lunch in Positano
7. Amalfi lemons
8. Homemade charcuterie on the train from Amalfi to Florence
9. Gorgonzola ice cream at 9am in a medieval city
10. Day trip in Tuscany
11. Wine pairings on our winery tour
12. The Forum in Pompeii
13. Walking the streets on Florence at sunset
14. Kyle’s new wedding ring—bronze, made by a local artisan
15. Piazzale Michelangelo

17. Aperitivo in Florence
18. Just arrived to Venice! Our favorite Italian city.
19. Aperol Spritz on the side of a canal in Venice
20. Venice at night
This is a hostage situation. Nobody is enjoying this. Send help.
The environment really added to the general ambiance of the day 😂📣👷🏻
I told Kyle it was fine if he napped while I filmed and I now regret everything 😂
Okay, so there are basically TWO main travel hacks here:
✈️ 1: The “Explore” feature for flexible dates
Go to the “Explore” tab on Google Flights
Plug in the date range you want to travel
Punch in your destination
Google will then help you find the cheapest dates within your range to visit your chosen destination 👀
✈️ 2: Self-transfer flights
This is when you book separate tickets for different legs of your itinerary.
In this case:
STL → Lima
THEN
Lima → Cusco
A few things to know before booking a self-transfer flight:
The airline sees your layover city as your FINAL destination, so they do not care if you miss your second flight because of delays or cancellations
If you check bags, you’ll usually need to exit security, collect them, and re-check them with the second airline… which can definitely be a pain 😅
Have you ever tried either of these travel hacks? And how much money saved would make it worth it to you? Let us know in the comments 👇
