I’m Emily, and today, I want to share something with you.
When I went to Peru this year through my university program, I learned a different perspective about sports. I’ve been playing them since I was little—I know they build confidence, create friendships, bring people together.
Peru showed me more about sports. For Peruvians, soccer creates pure moments of joy, community and self-expression. And that’s why I decided to take my first role as an NC Ambassador and be involved in the Kick-Off 2025!
As part of my participation in our current campaign, I have made a video about one element of Kick-Off that I really like: The element of play. I love how through soccer, children can:
- Connect: no previous friendship is needed to play soccer, not even to speak the same language as my friend Griffin shared in his message last Sunday.
- Express: through the play itself.
- Grow in confidence: every kick, every pass builds their sense of worth.
I’m excited to be part of Kick-Off and I hope you feel the same way. Join us in this important project and stay tuned for our next videos and messages.
Please keep reading to learn about the project and the sustainability component we’ve added this year.
We count on you!

🧶*We couldn’t help but wonder…*
When did pink stop being soft?
We used to think of it as delicate. Girly. Harmless.
But lately, we’ve started to see it differently.
Not as something cute—but as something chosen.
Something that says, we know what we want against this world of noise.
Hilda chose it when she picked up the .
Rachel and Emily chose it when they put it on.
And maybe that’s the whole point of Mantis:
that doesn’t have to scream,
as long as it stands firm.
Sometimes, wearing the same thing
doesn’t make you look alike.
It makes you part of something
that couldn’t have happened without you.

“Stir it up”, decía Marley.
No hubo prisa.
