Patchwork Progress

I see we have a few new followers and I wanted to welcome you all, as well as tell you a little about myself (Callan), and what the mission is.

Patchwork Progress started as a way to fund my studies in medicinal plants, healing elements of the natural world, and indigenous wisdom traditions, but after traveling to Peru in 2014, things became much more personal. While traveling through the Andes and Amazon in Peru, I was able to learn traditional leather crafting, alpaca weaving, and gain deeper insight into indigenous medicine and ceremonial traditions. These trades and insights were given to me through some of the most amazing artisans, healers, and families in Peru, and for them, I am forever grateful.

After these amazing experiences, Patchwork Progress grew into more than just a way to pay for schooling, it became a way to help honor and appreciate the people who shared their teachings and art. Today, Patchwork Progress brings together handmade goods crafted from myself, family, and artisan partners in Peru. From leather bags, musical instruments, natural medicines and healing products; each piece reflects traditional craftsmanship, natural materials, and designs inspired from indigenous cultures.

At Patchwork Progress, we stand on building community and connection, fair trade relationships, handmade craftsmanship, natural and plant based materials, and importantly, cultural respect and reciprocity.
