𝐀𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: In line with the University's continuing commitment to providing quality education and ensuring academic excellence, the 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐁𝐒𝐄𝐌) program underwent evaluation by the 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 (𝐑𝐐𝐀𝐓) for the issuance of a 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 (𝐂𝐎𝐏𝐂). This evaluation aims to determine the program’s adherence to the minimum standards and requirements prescribed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

The evaluation and validation visit was conducted on May 25, 2026, at Western Philippines University–Aborlan. The RQAT was led by CHED Education Supervisor II 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐏. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧 Jr., together with CHED-OPSD representative 𝐌𝐬. 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐳𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐮 𝐀𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐧. The evaluation was further supported by members of the Technical Panel, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐬 and 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐀𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐚, both from the School of Environmental Science and Management of the University of the Philippines, Los Baños.

The preparation and consolidation of documents for the COPC application were spearheaded by BSEM Program Chairperson Assistant Professor 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐏. 𝐄𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐚, in collaboration with Forestry Program Chairperson Assistant Professor 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨 𝐎. 𝐁𝐚𝐣𝐨 𝐉𝐫.. The activity was fully supported and participated in by the College Dean, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐊𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐁. 𝐀𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐝𝐞; former College Dean 𝐃𝐫. 𝐆𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐧 𝐎. 𝐒𝐨𝐩𝐬𝐨𝐩; and the faculty members of the Department of Forestry and Environmental Sciences, namely: 𝘋𝘳. 𝘓𝘪𝘵𝘢 𝘉. 𝘚𝘰𝘱𝘴𝘰𝘱 (Vice President for Student Affairs and Services), 𝘋𝘳. 𝘎𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘯 𝘖. 𝘚𝘰𝘱𝘴𝘰𝘱, 𝘋𝘳. 𝘙𝘦𝘺𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘥 𝘔. 𝘘𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨 (Presidential Assistant for Special Concerns), 𝘋𝘳. 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘰𝘯 𝘜. 𝘚𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘻, 𝘈𝘭𝘦𝘫𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘳𝘰 𝘈. 𝘉𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘰 𝘑𝘳., 𝘋𝘩𝘪𝘰𝘤𝘦𝘭 𝘈. 𝘊𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯̃𝘢, 𝘚𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘈. 𝘋𝘦𝘭𝘢 𝘍𝘶𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦 𝘑𝘳., 𝘚𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘺 𝘑𝘢𝘯𝘦 𝘉. 𝘖𝘤𝘰𝘺, 𝘈𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘭 𝘒𝘦𝘦𝘯𝘰 𝘋. 𝘗𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘥𝘢, 𝘙𝘪𝘤𝘰 𝘍. 𝘘𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘦, 𝘙𝘦𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘯 𝘔. 𝘝𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘰 (Director, Student Development Services), and 𝘎𝘪𝘭𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘵 𝘠. 𝘠𝘢𝘳𝘢.

The evaluation concluded on a positive note, with the Technical Panel commending the program’s efforts in meeting CHED standards while providing valuable recommendations for its continuous improvement and development. The successful conduct of the COPC evaluation reflects the collective dedication of the College of Forestry and Environmental Sciences in upholding quality assurance and academic excellence.
