The article examines how metaphors of war and criminality, dehumanization, salvation, and resistance shape public understanding of political and educational realities, particularly in relation to narratives surrounding Duterte’s War on Drugs. It also highlights the pedagogical value of critical metaphor analysis in teaching academic freedom, critical consciousness, and student activism.

Today was really all about community and care. It was a BE THERE FOR A PURPOSE gathering in support of the Alay Dugo event, a simple medical procedure turned into a memorable experience, and it drives home the courage and generosity of every donor who walks forward.

Sometimes, we let ourselves forget that one bag of blood can represent a second chance for someone else. Each donation is not only an act of altruism, but it represents that thread and motive for care and compassion that we nurture for our community.

Despite different blood types, we are still united by the thought of extending our simple help through blood donation. You, us, and together, we can create a ripple effect of kindness. For a small sacrifice today, we can save a life tomorrow.

PUP Alfonso Campus successfully carried out a lmpactful outreach initiative at BJMP Tagaytay. As part of the program, each Person Deprived of Liberty (PDL) received a sanitary pack to support personal hygiene and basic needs.

Compassion was felt in every moment as students, faculty and staffs opened their hearts and offered their hands to uplift lives, spread hope, and build meaningful bonds within the community.

Every smile and helping hand proves that kindness can inspire change. Together, we don’t just give, we grow, connect, and make a difference that truly matter.

Through your support, the NSTP Class of 2026 was able to prepare and distribute 𝟯𝟱𝟬 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝘆𝗴𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀 for 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 in both male and female dormitories.

The activity focused on addressing basic hygiene needs inside Tagaytay BJMP where access to essential personal care items is limited. At the same time, it provided students with an opportunity to 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 by working directly with a community that is often overlooked in public outreach initiatives. From preparation to implementation, the experience required students to act with care, responsibility, and respect for human dignity in a real social setting.

The outreach also reflected the program’s commitment to the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀 by promoting 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲-𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲, and 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽.
