China Installs Record 256 GW of Solar in Just Six Months ☀️⚡

In the first half of 2025, China added a record-breaking 256 gigawatts (GW) of solar power capacity — more than all other countries combined during the same period.

This huge growth highlights China’s dominant role in the global clean energy transition. Reports show China accounted for about 67% of new global solar capacity in H1 2025, far ahead of other nations. The United States ranked third, with around 21 GW installed.
