For the past two years, the Freedom from Debt Coalition (FDC) Cebu Womenโ€™s Committee has backed Tingub Community and Urban Poor Homeowners Association, Inc. (TICUPHAI) in Mandaue City to create school bags, wallets, accessories, and sandals from recyclable materials. What began as a seasonal project supplying JPIC-run daycare centers has grownโ€”partnering with DAK AY Construction Company to produce eco-friendly window coverings and securing a โ‚ฑ350,000 grant from a foreign funder. This boost is transforming their once-limited venture into a sustainable, year-round income source for the community.
