I love Geo Ong’s mindset and maturity about relationships. He said, “Hindi ka dapat nakikipag-relasyon sa alam mong short-term lang. ‘Paglalandi’ ang tawag dun. Ang tunay na relasyon, ano man ang mangyari, walang iwanan, walang lokohan.

Kahit gaano pa kagwapo o kaganda ang makasalamuha mo, ang relasyon ay desisyon. Dapat alam mo kung paano ito patatatagin at pasasayahin.

Walang perpekto, maski ikaw. Kaya imbes na hanap nang hanap ng mas okay, matutong tumanggap ng pagkakamali, humingi ng tawad, at patibayin ang relasyon.”

Love is a choice, not just a feeling. Feelings come and go, but the decision to stay, understand, and work through struggles strengthens a relationship.

No one is perfect, and expecting an ideal partner while ignoring your own flaws is unrealistic. Instead of always looking for something better, nurture what you have, communicate, and learn to forgive.

The strongest relationships are not the ones without problems but the ones where both partners choose to fight for each other every single day.
