When we discuss the roots of this administration, we must look at the blueprint of 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐨𝐬 𝐒𝐫., a man who understood that a nation’s strength lies in its structure.

He was the architect of the 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧, the first real attempt to professionalize the bureaucracy and streamline government operations.

Today, the son 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑. "𝐁𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐁𝐎𝐍𝐆" 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐨𝐬 𝐉𝐫. is not merely building over old ground; he is reinforcing the foundation with modern tools. His father’s vision of a "𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲" was built on the pillars of discipline and large-scale infrastructure like the 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐨 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞.

By revisiting these roots, the current administration seeks to reclaim the "𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻" that once made the Philippines a leader in the region, ensuring the name is associated with a state that is as efficient as it is grand.

​In the current climate, the administration has moved beyond rhetoric to secure specific, corruption-repelling achievements.

The signing of the 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗰𝘁 (𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗰𝘁 𝗡𝗼. 𝟭𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯) stands as the most significant anti-corruption law in recent history, modernizing how the State does business by mandating real-time data disclosure and civil society oversight.

We have also seen the launch of the 𝙚𝙂𝙤𝙫 𝙋𝙃 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙚𝙧 𝘼𝙥𝙥, a digital one-stop shop that removes the "𝙢𝙞𝙙𝙙𝙡𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙣" from government transactions, effectively drying up the stagnant pools where bribery used to breed. Furthermore, the 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 (𝗜𝗖𝗜), has already recommended charges against 65 individuals involved in anomalous projects—a clear signal that the old ways of doing business are no longer profitable under the new management.

​Looking toward 2026, the goals are even more surgical. The administration is pushing for the full integration of the 𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 (𝗕𝗧𝗠𝗦) across 315 agencies to ensure that every peso is tracked from the ledger to the pavement.

We are also preparing to host the 𝟭𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 (𝗘𝗜𝗧𝗜) 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 in June 2026, a move that positions the Philippines as a regional leader in resource accountability. Perhaps most ambitious is the "𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙣" blockchain initiative, designed to make budget release documents like 𝙎𝘼𝙍𝙊𝙨 and 𝙉𝘾𝘼𝙨 tamper-proof.

These upcoming achievements are not just about cleaning the house; they are about installing a security system that ensures the house stays clean for generations to come.

This "𝙗𝙞𝙜 𝙛𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜" expedition has already netted substantial results: former Executive Secretary 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻 and DBM Secretary 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗵 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻 have resigned under the weight of the investigation, while high-profile figures like 𝗭𝗮𝗹𝗱𝘆 𝗖𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗮𝘆𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗽𝗹𝗲 face legal reckoning.

Even the "𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗳𝗶𝘀𝗵" from past seasons, like 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮, find themselves back in the spotlight of the Sandiganbayan as the DOJ, under 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗮, moves to resolve cases involving billions in siphoned funds.

These are the achievements of a man who knows that before you build the penthouse, you must first clear the basement of those who would pick the locks.

​The most delicate matter on the table, however, is the pursuit of 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗗𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗲. As of February 2026, the air is thick with the scent of accountability as the House of Representatives receives multiple impeachment complaints.

These filings—led by the 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽𝘀—allege a betrayal of public trust regarding ₱𝟲𝟭𝟮.𝟱 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀.

While the Supreme Court recently clarified the "𝙊𝙣𝙚 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝘽𝙖𝙣" the path to a Senate trial remains open if the House plenary refers these complaints by early March.

This "𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙝𝙪𝙣𝙩" for justice is the upcoming achievement that could define the administration's legacy.

If the process moves forward, led by House Speaker 𝐅𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐃𝐲 𝐈𝐈𝐈 and Senate President 𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐨, it will signal that even the highest offices are not immune to the "𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻" that began with the father and is being finalized by the son.
