DAY 2 of 2 | FROM TRAINEES TO LIFE SAVERS

Day 2 of the BLS Training, led by the dedicated team of Quezon Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, began with excitement and determination. The day opened with attendance, prayer, and a meaningful recap, setting the tone for a day focused on excellence and service.

Participants confidently took the Post-Test and proceeded to the much-awaited Skills Examination.

One by one, they demonstrated proper chest compressions, rescue breathing, and emergency response techniques under the careful guidance of the Quezon PDRRMO Training Team. Nervousness turned into confidence as each trainee proved they were ready to respond in real-life emergencies.
After the evaluation and reflection, the most anticipated moment arrived, the Graduation. Certificates were awarded amidst proud smiles and applause.

Day 2 marked not just the completion of training, but the beginning of a greater responsibility to serve the community with courage, competence, and compassion.

DAY 1 of 2 | BASIC LIFE SUPPORT TRAINING 2026

Day 1 of the Basic Life Support (BLS) Training was successfully conducted through the collaboration of the Red Cross Youth Council – Balubad IS (RCYC) and the Quezon Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.

The activity was spearheaded and facilitated by Quezon PDRRMO under the leadership of Dr. Melchor Avenilla Jr., PGDH of Province of Quezon on February 25-26, 2026 at Balubad Integrated School.

The activity began with the registration and opening ceremonies led by the RCYC Officers of Balubad IS, followed by the Course Overview by Ms. Trizta Marie Magbuhos of PDRRMO Quezon and a Diagnostic Pre-Test facilitated by Mr. Mark Oliver Jalimao of PDRRMO Quezon.

Participants actively engaged in the following sessions conducted by the MDRRMO and PDRRMO facilitators:

1. Principles of Emergency Care by Mr. John Renz E. Magsisi of MDRRMO Macalelon

2. Introduction to Basic Life Support by Mr. Jerry A. Mabulay of MDRRMO Macalelon

3. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) by Mr. Erickson De Silva of MDRRMO Alabat & Mr. Mark Oliver Jalimao of PDRRMO Quezon

4. Automated External Defibrillator (AED) by Ms. Trizta Marie Magbuhos of PDRRMO Quezon

5. Rescue Breathing by Mr. Ruel Bañal of MDRRMO Gumaca

6. Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO) Management by Mrs. Baby Rowie R. Pasumbal of PDRRMO Quezon.

The day concluded with a Skills Demonstration and Course Evaluation, strengthening participants’ competence and confidence in responding to emergencies.
