SDO IGACOS Inaugurates New Learning Landmark, Igniting a New Chapter for Literacy and Innovation

The Schools Division Office of the Island Garden City of Samal (SDO IGACOS) marked a historic milestone today with the blessing and inauguration of its newly established Library Hub, a transformative learning space designed to strengthen literacy, innovation, and lifelong learning among learners and educators. The celebration began with a Eucharistic Mass at the Division Conference Hall presided over by Rev. Fr. Emmanuel M. Gonzaga, DCD, followed by the blessing and inauguration at the Library Hub Main Area. The program featured welcome remarks from Schools Division Superintendent Emma A. Camporedondo, CESO VI, an inspirational message from City Mayor Lemuel "Toto" T. Reyes represented by Hon. City Councilor/ Committee on Education Chair Violeto S. Claros, and words of gratitude from Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Gay P. Taguiran, CESO VI, culminating in a fellowship lunch that celebrated unity and shared success.

More than the opening of a physical facility, the SDO IGACOS Library Hub symbolizes the opening of doors to knowledge, imagination, discovery, and limitless opportunities. It stands as a testament to what a shared vision, collaboration, and unwavering dedication can accomplish in advancing quality education. The event was graced by distinguished guests, including local government leaders City Councilor and Education Committee Chair Violeto S. Claros, Guillermo Olden, City Engineer Matthew Arig, Acting Department Head Alfred Damag, education partners, stakeholders, donors, and members of the Department of Education community, all of whom reaffirmed their commitment to fostering accessible and inclusive learning environments.

The success of this landmark initiative reflects the collective efforts of countless individuals who believed in the transformative power of literacy and education. SDO IGACOS expressed profound gratitude to its leadership under SDS Emma A. Camporedondo, ASDS Gay P. Taguiran, former SDS Nelson C. Lopez, the Learning Resources Team led by Teresita E. Helgason, the Curriculum Implementation Division headed by Chief Allan D. Balisbis, the SGOD Team under Chief Jay C. Nang, Jilbert M. Abenoja for the event decorations, the Administrative Office, the SDS and ASDS Teams, the Technical Working Group, school personnel, SDO personnel, partners, and every volunteer whose dedication brought the project to fruition. As the doors of the SDO IGACOS Library Hub officially open, so too does a brighter future where minds will be nurtured, dreams inspired, and generations of learners empowered through the enduring gift of knowledge.
