𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗧 𝗕𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗦𝗜𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘

The College of Arts and Sciences Student Council stands in firm solidarity with the Filipino people. We may not be with them in the streets, rallying shoulder to shoulder, but know that we are one with them in spirit, in conviction, and in the continuing struggle for justice, democracy, and truth. At this crucial moment in our nation’s history, we affirm our place not merely as spectators but as active participants in the broader movement for freedom and dignity.

Most especially, we raise our call together with the College of Arts and Sciences studentry, and with the student body of Pampanga State University at large, who embody the strength, resilience, and conscience of today’s generation. As students, as leaders, and as Filipinos, our voices are not ornaments of democracy but its very lifeblood.

We have seen statements issued that play safe, words arranged without courage, messages that pretend to “hear the students” yet fail to represent them. A statement that does not carry conviction, that hides behind neutrality, is not a statement at all. It is silence disguised as speech. As student leaders, we must not allow our voices to be blunted. A neutral stance is not neutrality; it is complicity. To remain silent or to “stay in the middle” is to already side with what is wrong.

True leadership is not waiting for students to rant, to complain, to demand endlessly before action is taken. We, ourselves, are students; we know the pulse of our fellow learners. We should not be content with merely “listening” when it is already our duty to understand, anticipate, act, and participate. Our role is not to calm frustration but to confront its roots. The badge of student leadership is stewardship. The responsibility to protect, to uplift, and to fight alongside those we represent.

As we hold our organization's guiding words: "By Virtue, Wisdom; By Wisdom, Service," we remind our fellow leaders: wisdom without service is cowardice, service without courage is hollow. To truly live by these words is to act with both moral clarity and bold conviction, especially when our people demand it most.

Real peace does not come from silencing dissent or from declaring false neutrality. Real peace flourishes only when students can voice out their concerns without fear, without retaliation, without being dismissed.

Once again, the College of Arts and Sciences Student Council commits itself fully to the people’s campaign of reclamation. We stand with the Filipino people. We stand with the Pampanga State University studentry. We stand with all who continue to fight.

This is not just our statement—this is our stand.
