Excessive Rainfall Outlook
[for June 8 to 12, 2025]

For the upcoming week, there could be a high probability of excessive rains over Western sections of Luzon and parts of Palawan due to the and weather disturbances we are expecting.

Widespread flooding, flashflood, and landslides may occur over Zambales, Bataan, Mindoro Occ, and Northern Palawan. Residents in these area should closely monitor the weather in the next few days.

Other parts of Southern Luzon, Central Luzon, Metro Manila, Western Visayas, and Zamboanga Peninsula should also monitor and stay vigilant against possible heavy rain next week which may result to isolated cases of flooding as well.

What You Need to Know in Western Pacific

JMA is currently tracking 3 Tropical Cyclones.

1. made landfall over Shanghai, China this morning as a Typhoon. Its a small typhoon but was almost centered at China's Economic Hub with millions of people in it

2. has become a Tropical Storm and will almost follow the path of Bebinca days ago. This will affect Okinawa and then China

3. (PAGASA) the most newly formed storm of the 3 cyclones. This is expected to hit Northern Luzon tomorrow. This will eventually head towas Southern China and Vietnam.

🗣️DISCUSSION:
Severe Tropical Storm (formerly ) has just entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility ( ) and re-intensified with sustained winds of 100 km/h and gusts up to 120 km/h. While remains far from the Philippine landmass, its enhancement of the southwest monsoon is causing significant impacts on the ground.
🌧️Reports of flooding and landslides have been confirmed in , , and surrounding areas. The continuous heavy rains from the enhanced are causing rising water levels and unstable mountain slopes in these regions.

📡FORECAST:
will continue to track northwest and could potentially reach Category 1 typhoon strength within the next 24 hours. Despite this intensification, the storm will remain far from land, and no cyclone signals are expected.
