Christy Marie Q. Palomares Elected as Representative for Congressional District 1 in the Division Federated Supreme Secondary Leader Government (DFSSLG).
In a significant development for the student leadership community, Christy Marie Q. Palomares, the newly elected President of the Federated Supreme Secondary Leader Government of the Municipality of Baggao, has been chosen as the Representative for Congressional District 1 in the Division Federated Supreme Secondary Leader Government (DFSSLG).
This victory was secured during the DFSSLG election held on March 28, 2025, at Baybayog National High School in Alcala, Cagayan.
Palomares, whose leadership has already earned her respect within her municipality, now steps onto a larger stage with her election to the Division level. Her election is a testament to her dedication to student governance and her passion for advocacy, with her campaign focusing on promoting student welfare, educational reforms, and creating stronger ties between different schools within the division.
The DFSSLG elections were a highly anticipated event, and Palomares' win marks a milestone in her political journey within the student leadership community.
As she embarks on this new role, she is expected to continue championing the voices of the students, ensuring that their concerns are represented and addressed at the Division level.

"Josephian student leaders shine brighter."
Josephian Student leaders shone brightly in the Regional Leadership Summit held on February 28, 2025 at St. Paul University Philippines inTuguegarao City, Cagayan.
15 Junior High School Supreme Student Government Officers participated in the said Leadership Summit anchored on the theme "Leadership in Action: Building Skills for Transformative Future."
Martha B. Acosta, the SSG Vice President, Mark Aloysius S. Andres, Secretary, Salma P. Issa Ali-Al Naimi, Auditor, Jobelle A. Ho, Peace Officer, Oliver Jansen Salvador, Sports Coordinator and Amiel Paul T. Castillo, the Grade 7 Governor were hailed Most Outstanding Student Leaders during the said leadership summit.
Meanwhile, Johan Baron R. Barangan, the SSG President, Amiel Paul T. Castillo, Grade 7 Governor, John Mark L. Suiguitan, Religious Coordinator and Maureen Kaye F. Melad, Sociocultural Coordinator received recognition for being part of the winning teams during the Team Building Activity.
Eleven secondary private and public schools from the provinces of Cagayan and Isabela participated in the aforementioned summit, which aims to develop the leadership abilities of student leaders throughout the region.
Accomplished individuals in a variety of disciplines, including Mr. PJ Cabanos, a well-known journalist and vlogger; Mr. John Kit Masigan, a faculty member of SPUP and an alumnus of the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines; and Mr. Billy Jake Cortez, a SPUP alumnus.
According to Mr. John Kit, student leaders frequently feel that they aren't shining, like stars, even though sometimes they aren't always visible, they do shine.
In this year's Regional Leadership Summit, SJCB Student Leaders proved that like stars, they can shine even brighter.
